Color Throwdown #187

After hardly making any cards at all for a few months, I suddenly felt the urge to participate in a card challenge. The ongoing challenge at The Color Throwdown has its deadline today, so here’s my last minute cards. Not only one, but actually two. For borth cards I used various paper scraps, rub-on sentiments, ribbon and pearls/rhinestones.

The colors

Du är en pärla (You are a pearl)

Life is about creating yourself.

Happy Birthday x3

I bought these three tiny papers (one pink, one blue, one green) a couple of years ago. Finally I got to use them, making three similar cards. Papers are from Forma Hantverk, stamp from Inkido.

White Christmas

Last week’s challenge at Ett julkort i veckan (A Christmas card a week), was to make a card with snow, snowflakes or monochromatic white. I made mine with snowflakes and almost only white (there’s a little blue in the backround paper).

ColourQ #120

I just finished my card for this week’s ColourQ challenge. All papers used (besides the card base) are various scraps.

Pink Christmas

I’m part of two different challenges to make a Christmas card a week, so this card is for both. ;) One is the Facebook group Julkort 2012, and one is the blog Ett julkort i veckan. The theme for the blog challenge this week was to make a card with pink as the main color.

I’ve used a pink dotted paper from Maja Design’s Sommartider (the total opposite of Christmas, it’s from a summer collection!), Grunge Corner stamp from Inkido, embossed with Frost embossing powder, a Christmas sentiment (I don’t remember where that’s from?!) stamped with Distress Ink Walnut Stain, Fiskars border punch Threading Water, YouDo brown glitter glue and a chipboard snowflake from Little Yellow Bicycle’s 25 Days of Christmas.

You are a star!

Tonight I made a card for Color Throwdown #173:

My card

I used a red card base, paper from Best Creation’s Rock Star, rubberstamp from Stapminback, silver and red punchinella, red dotted organdy ribbon, a star brad and some silver rhinestones.

Hopefully the recepient will like the card. :D

One word

Dang! I made a card for a challenge in the Less is More blog earlier this week. Didn’t get to take a pic of it until today though. I thought today was the last day to participate, but obviously the challenge is now closed. Oh well, I don’t know if my card really was a “less is more” card anyway.

However, the challenge was to use only one word as sentiment on the card front. I wrote Kram, which is the Swedish word for Hug, with Thickers Tiara letters. Background paper is a piece from DCWV The Street Lace stack. Then a black ribbon, and using the Fiskars Sunburts border punch on the black cardstock and – voilà!

A very quick Christmas card

I’m late… This card was for the Ett julkort i veckan challenge blog two weeks ago! I made the card in time, but didn’t get to take a pic of it until today. The challenge was to make a very quick card. And this is probably the quickest card I have ever made. A piece of washi tape, a diecut Santa, a stamped greeting and a rhinestone star – done! :D

Ted Poley shirt

Early last month I decorated a shirt of mine, with rhinestones and black fabric paint. Due to busy schedule, I haven’t had the time to upload it to the blog until now.

I’ve made a scrapbook page!

I haven’t made any scrapbook pages for ages – I always end up making cards because they take less time… Recently I made this layout, the first page for my travel album. I had so much fun making it, I will definitely make sure to scrap more regulary from now on! :D
